Recreational volleyball is about having fun and enjoying good company on the volleyball court. Our recreational activities are targeted towards the levels Beginner (E), Recreational (D), Intermediate (C), and Intermediate Plus (C+).

Our events are divided into different target levels, and they can be found in different Suomisport groups. The recreational groups listed below are stable, but we may utilize occasional temporary groups as well.
Aalto-Volley main group
The main group is open for all Aalto-Volley members and newcomers. New players may freely join there and come for a visit.

Aalto-Volley recreational (C/C+) group
This group contains some more advanced events, and thus, has a soft level requirement.
How to join? -> Contact one of our Recreational section club officials about trying out for one of the events. We recommend Joining the main group before this as well.
We organize volleyball / beach volley courses on a case-by-case basis (typically during August - September and April - May for volleyball or summertime for beach volley). The courses are applicable for all newcomers of the sport or returning players who want to master their techniques!

Got some experience but unsure where to start? -> Join one of the casual volleyball sessions (höntsävuoro)! These consist of relaxed 6v6 volleyball games in mixed teams around Recreational (D) / Intermediate (C) level.
Note: Newcomers are required to officially sign up like the rest of the players - don't just show up! See: Join & Community guidelines.

All our hobby players are welcome to join the games in our Teekkariseries team! The games are held around every two weeks during October - April.

These sessions are otherwise similar as the Casual volleyball games but with more experienced players. The games are typically played with the 5-1 system, and we recommend newcomers familiarize themselves with it before joining.

Viking Line Cup is a set of tournaments that takes place during the winter season and allows for players to play against other teams without having to commit to a weekly schedule. We encourage players to organize their teams and participate in these tournaments on their own terms!

We host all kinds of community events, e.g. parties, student events, tournaments, workouts, summer beach volley. Come hang out and spread the joy!
