New players

Can I play if I'm not a student in Aalto?

A: Yes. While our activities and their target groups may vary between seasons, we are primarily open to outsiders as well. Check out our activity pages or contact us directly to find out more!

Can I come play a few times before applying?

A: Depends on the activity. In the context of membership, the you may have several visits to get to know us and our activities before applying. However, some activities, e.g. courses, are more transactional. Read more from our activity pages, or contact us directly about what we have on offer!

Payments

What are the different fees for?

A: A Membership fee is an annual payment that must be paid by all active members of the Association. The size of the fee is decided in the Association's Annual Meeting.
A Seasonal fee (commonly, autumn and spring season) is an additional payment that seeks to cover the activity costs incurred by the club. The size of the fee depends on which activities the player participates in and the time period during which this happens.

How do I pay?

A: All fees will appear under the payments tab in your Suomisport account in once they're published. You will also receive an automated email, when a payment is issued to you. Note that the membership fee won't appear until you've applied and been accepted as a member of the Association.

I have an issue with a payment. What should I do?

A: Each payment is handled by one of our club officials, and we want to be open and transparent about who should pay, how much, and what's the value offered in return. So in case of problems, always contact the payment issuer, and we'll resolve the situation together.

Suomisport

How can I join Suomisport without a Finnish personal identity code?

A: Change your nationality -> Click "I do not have a Finnish personal identity code" -> Enter your details -> Click "Create account".

Why is my personal identity code needed?

A: Suomisport is used to buy licenses and insurances, where a strong identification is required. The service does not grant Aalto-Volley access to your personal identity code.
The service is developed by the Finnish Olympic Committee, and they have clearly written privacy statements on how your data is used.

I have some other issues with creating my account. Who should I contact?

A: The Suomisport customer service is there to help with all issues relating to the service: suomisport@olympiakomitea.fi.

I cannot sign in to the Suomisport mobile app, because I don't have a Finnish phone number. What should I do?

A: Use the browser version - it contains all the relevant functionalities and only lacks in some tools of convenience, such as notifications.
