Competitive section

"Competition - An activity that requires dedication and aims for development or success"

Aalto-Volley's Competitive section is its own subcommunity that primarily runs the division Teams but also organizes e.g. workouts, playing sessions, and various fundraising events.

The section's activities are targeted towards people with a strong volleyball background, i.e. Intermediate Plus (C+) and Upper-Intermediate (B) players.

For hobby level volleyball, check the Recreational section.

Note

Our trainings are primarily not lead by a coach. Instead, the more experienced members of the community share the lead responsibility and aim to plan trainings that are both useful and fun.
We are true Teekkaris, and the Finnish idiom "tosissaan mutta ei vakavasti (serious but not solemn / earnest but playful)" describes our approach to volleyball well. We do things properly but with a sense of humor.

How to get started

Check out and contact one of our teams, then come join a few trainings. We'll do a vibe check and see if we're a good match for the future!
