The Aalto-Volley Fall Tournament is here! After the successes of previously held Mixer Tournament and Spring Tournament, we are excited to announce that the Mixed Team tournament is making its return, bigger and better than ever before! We aim to organize a great volleyball tournament for Aalto University-community and beyond! So gather up your team and sign-up, this is a tournament that you don't want to miss!
The players will gather their own mixed teams (at least 2/6 ladies and 2/6 gents on the court at all times) and register into one of the following pools:
🧩 Hobby pool (Recreational/Intermediate, D/C)
🏆 Championship pool (Intermediate Plus/Upper Intermediate, C+/B)
This time, we want even more participants! Thus, both pools can have maximum of 12 teams.
To fit 12 teams in each pool, the tournament is organized over two days:
Championship pool: 4.10.2025, 12-21
Hobby pool: 5.10.2025, 15-21
Both pools are played in Matinkylä sports hall (Tynnyritie 2, 02230, Espoo), just a few minute walk from the Iso Omena Metro-station.
Make sure that you sign-up ASAP! Pools are filled by sign-up order, so better act fast!
Sign up and more information can be found on the registration page! Registration is open between 9.9.2025 15.00 - 2.10.2025 23.59.
This autumn's winners were a team whose name started as a joke that stuck around (ironic, isn't it?). Having almost dropped to the middle group after the first phase of the tournament, the team decided to lock in and go for the win!
Solid and consistent throughout all games. The results speak louder than words!
Like a rough gang of mercenaries - came and stole third place! Well played!
A group of friends working together to pull off the impossible. Hit sure happens!
"Nice and high, nice and high!" Smart play yields results, and second place is a good place to be.
Rumor has it this team thought they were coming to a beach volley tournament. 🤯
Just kidding, congratulations to our bronze medalist!
