A: Potentially. The Board of the Association accepts members outside of Aalto University based on each player's overall suitability to the club. Though the specifics of this may vary between seasons, new players are always welcome to come for a visit!
A: Yes. You may visit three events before you should apply for membership and pay the membership fee at your earliest convenience.
A: A Membership fee is an annual payment that must be paid by all active members of the Association. The size of the fee is decided in the Association's Annual Meeting.
A Seasonal fee (commonly, autumn and spring season) is an additional payment that seeks to cover the activity costs incurred by the club. The size of the fee depends on which activities the player participates in and the time period during which this happens.
A: All relevant fees will appear in your Suomisport account in once you've been accepted as a member and joined the relevant event groups. An automated email is also sent, when a payment is issued to you.
A: Each payment is handled by one of our club officials, and we want to be open and transparent about who should pay, how much, and what's the value offered in return. So in case of problems, always contact the payment issuer, and we'll resolve the situation together.
A: Change your nationality -> Click "I do not have a Finnish personal identity code" -> Enter your details -> Click "Create account".
A: Suomisport is used to buy licenses and insurances, where a strong identification is required. The club does not receive your personal identity code, nor does it have any use for it.
The service is developed by the Finnish Olympic Committee, and they have clearly written privacy statements on how your data is used.
